I just came across this great give away, well at least I think it is a great one.

Kerri Scarlett the amazing woman over at Save at Home Mommy is having a Candle Give A Way.  Now I love candles, but right now with the budget as tight as it is I am not in the practice of purchasing new candles and I am trying to stretch the ones I do have for as long as possible.  That is why I just love this give a way.

along with soylogo

are giving  one lucky winner (3) 10 oz. apothecary jar candles (winner chooses fragrances), a $36.00 value.

Now doesn’t that sound neat, wouldn’t you like to win some wonderful soy candles. Check out the Soy Candle Co and see the wonderful scents they offer.  For me I would choose Cedarwood Amber, Ocean Mist and Lick Me All Over (because it sounds so interesting.

My Little Life

Questions for Friday, November 20th: (Special thanks this week to Liz, Heidi, Adrienne, Tyler, and Keely for their question suggestions, or inspiration!!)

1. Are you a Black Friday shopper?
I did in 2005 when Emmy was 7 months old. But since then no not really.  If I had the money I think I would have last year or this year.

2. What was your favorite childhood toy? (Think Easy Bake Oven, Cabbage Patch Kid, Shrinky Dinks, etc.)
I would have to say my dollhouse when I was little then when I was a bit older my model train.  I liked to build things.

3. Favorite Christmas movie?
It would have to be A Christmas Story

4. What is the "must have" item on your Christmas list this year?
I would love to have a Vacation to some place nice and warm.  But will settle for time with my family

5. Do you go all out with decorations or do you keep it simple and classy?
We will go all out inside, outside I;’m not sure yet what will happen.

Now I went to my first twitter party this past Tuesday.  It was hosted by Twittermoms.com and Lenox.  This was a pretty fun experience once I finally figured things out.  I of course did not win one of these:

But it was still a fun time seeing how the whole Twitter Party concept works, I really hope to have as much fun tonight

Bible Stories

I have been thinking about this for awhile now.  When Matt was young his favorite Bible story was David and Goliath.  I think that this was a perfect one for him, because of all the struggles he has gone through dealing with his ADHD. He can see a part of himself in David, fighting against the rest of the world who would represent Goliath. As a young child he struggled a lot fitting in among his peers, and dealing with others especially in school.  He was always a very intelligent  child, and also a loving one with a huge heart. Now at 14, he can control his ADHD with medication, he is like a whole other person on medication the chaoticness and Impulsivness in him is greatly reduced. He still battles his Goliath but now it is more as a normal average 14 year old boy.

With Emmy at 4 her favorite Bible story is Jesus dying on the cross. I think this shows how compassionate she is. With a theme of forgiveness and hope for the future I think that is perfect for what has gone on in her short life.  Especially everything that has happened between her father and me. She is in the process of learning how to forgive the fact that her dad is not living in her home anymore and that she can still love him unconditionally, even with him not around.  Then to have hope for the future of her life, and how she has faith that everything will turn out ok.  I look forward to watching her grow, to see if this stays her favorite Bible story and how her life is reflected in the story like how Matt’s has been.

The Sims 3 World Adventure Pack

sims3

This game is going to be pulling at me to play it for awhile.  I am such a sucker for the Sim games, and I have the tendency to get completely addicted to them when I first get them.  Thankfully life is really to busy for this to happen to me with this game, unless I wish to give up some sleep.

This is one of those things I pre-ordered back in August, and conveniently forgot about till now.
