WOW where has the week gone?

I think this semesters school load and life here at home is taking a lot longer than I would like to settle into some form of schedule. One would think that having class only on Monday and Wednesday would not be that difficult…. but I also added into the mix a moms group meeting (which I am really loving).. so basically Monday through Wednesday is really starting to blur together.

Though this week things have improved, as I have seem what has not worked the past 2 weeks and have made changes.

Even though we are back in the craziness of life again I can honestly say we are having fun. Emmy loves Awanas, Matt has enjoyed his youth group and has played in pep band a few times over the past few weeks. He also reconnected with an old friend who moved away several years ago.

Time moves on so quickly and changes so fast, we still need to step back from time to time and enjoy the moment.

Now I need to prepare for 2 field trips for 2 kids to the same place on 2 different days…… Matt’s middle school is going there bowing and such on Friday and Emmy’s Awanas is having a party there on Saturday…. this just makes me laugh because Matt will need to take her roller skating since I am in no way going to get on skates…. uh I value my backside way to much…. ;)

So Tired

Today I started another semester at the local Community College. With an 8 am class, those were killers the first time around, with 2 kids to get to 2 different schools our days are starting way to early.

Another unfun thing about these classes is that they are long 2 3/4 hours long.

1 is a graphics class, which is good because I know the programming and have played with Photoshop but only played not really learned how to really use it.  At least with that class I am not the only girl, nor the oldest one there.

The other class is a Game Development class, and I love the teacher I’ve had her for several on-line classes and she is even more fun in person.  But I am the oldest and the only girl, beside the teacher.

Next Monday will be worse because I will have to go back for a night class……..what was I thinking……

The worst part is dealing with the other students, especially 1 in particular.  Now I usually can get along with everyone- I’m very hard to tick off or annoy.  But when a student is always fooling around on the computer, checking facebook or gaming sites, does not listen to instructions and then has to ask for help with what the teacher just went over.  Ugh ticks me off.  Then add into it they print something during class and get up in the middle of the lecture to get the papers they printed. Also playing video clips loudly during class, and trying to be all cool and all asking questions to the other students about movies, videos or music.

I really don’t like judging people, but this is so hard for me not to.  The amount of disrespect this person exhibited today is really something I would not tolerate at all from either one of my kids. Something as a parent I feel very strongly about, I wish I had the guts to say something maybe that is what I need to do- bring it to this students attention that what he is doing is wrong, I will have to think about this.

Dentist Visit Today

January 6, 2010
filed under: Dentist, Emmy, Matt

So today both kids had dentist visits.  Emmy for a cleaning and check up and Matt to fill in some deep cracks to prevent any cavities. The appointments were at 1:15 and 3:15 on the other side of town from school.  So Emmy got picked up before lunch and we went to McDonalds, then picked up Matt early too.  Hey its a big enough strain going to the denstist I don’t need to rush back and forth and back and forth to pick Matt up.

So with Emmy we found out that she has deep crevices in her teeth and baby cavities forming- she must have her dads teeth both Matt and I were 13 before we faced this. She also had her first set of X-Rays done, she loved it that silly girl. We also found out that her 6 year molars are coming in- not surprised since she has been running a low grade fever off and on the past few months with no other symptoms.  She  did not like the fluoride treatment at all- next time not the Cherry flavored stuff….

Matt’s trip was in and out which was nice since Emmy’s was long…

So the end of the month we are back to take care of her teeth before they become a problem…… ugh oh well….

Cat and Mouse

Today I have a lonely unhappy cat running around the house.

And a really messy house………………….

Today my little kitty…..

Made friends with a mouse……

They were playing very nicely together……

They were playing cat and mouse………

While I was busy running around trying catch said mouse and moving everything out of the way to see the mouse….. I cleaned a closet out. ;) today..

The kitty would catch his friend and bring him  into the corner of the bathroom then let him go…..

And the mouse would run off to play again……

I finally stopped the friendly game by removing the mouse from the game….

I would have preferred to catch the mouse and send it outside- though it is so cold out there and that is probably why it came inside……

But I accidently stepped on it.. as I was trying to get junk out of kitties way so he could continue playing his cat and mouse game.

But it didn’t work out…….

So now the kitty is now wondering the house looking for his long lost friend…. meowing along the way for his friend……….
